Having modeled the different parts of his composition, he brought them together and supported them from the outside by means of crutches and tringles, after the fashion of the boat builders, thus enabling himself to make alterations, corrections and revisions to the very end of his task. The definitive braces were put in place only at the moment of the molding in plaster.
Revision of Constitutions. Revision of a constitution through the popular vote is common. Since 1814, there have been sixty revisions by the people of cantonal constitutions alone. Geneva asks its citizens every fifteen years if they wish to revise their organic law, thus twice in a generation practically determining whether they are in this respect content.
The living wage that is fixed should be subject to reconsideration and revision at definite periods; aside from the revisions which may be called for as the result of price movement, or under the profits test which is suggested later in the book. So much then for the central features of the living wage proposals.
Before leaving these States, which do have some form of "revised statutes" or complete code and be it remembered that I am never here speaking of annual laws, for however bad their form and the form of their publication, they are usually, at least, official it will be interesting, and, I think, throw further light on the subject, to cull some passages from the laws of States having such "authorized revisions," to show how far their real authority extends.
They are not exactly guilty of fabricating, but they set up an artificial text in the sense that, in order to lose as little as possible, they have collected and united what originally were variations the revisions, in short, of the original editions.

He also printed, with continuations of his own, revisions of several early chronicles, and editions of Chaucer, Gower, and Lydgate.

The Annales must be distinguished from the Libri Pontificum, which seem to have been a manual of the Jus Pontificale.
The word "antiquarian" in the directory had given me a notion. On a blank I composed the following message, after some revisions: MISS KATHLEEN KENT, 318, Bancroft Road, WOLVERHAMPTON. My friend John Blair of Trinity now in Wolverhampton for historical study staying at Blue Boar nice chap American may he call on you if so send him a line sorry can't write hurt hand playing soccer love to all.
Besides these, the ancient translations of the Bible, which must be mentioned, are the Old Latin, made in the second century, out of which, by many revisions, grew that Latin Vulgate which is now used in the Catholic ritual; an ancient Syriac version of about the same age; two Egyptian versions, in different dialects, made in the third century; the Peshito-Syriac, the Gothic, and the Ethiopic in the fourth, and the Armenian in the fifth; besides several later translations, including the Arabic and the Slavonic.
Each of these revisions has constituted practically a new series although the changes have never included the entire contents. In the higher readers will be found today many selections which appeared in the original books. The reason for retaining such selections is clear.
