"It is my doing," shrieked Aunt Aggie, in the strangled squeak in which we always explain that it is "only a crumb" gone wrong. And she relapsed into a fresh spasm. Lady Blore sternly bade her be silent. Colonel Bellairs was slightly annoyed.
