Nowadays things are different: only last winter I saw soldiers shiver with cold, while in our time a soldier was ashamed to show he was afraid of the cold. Yes, new generations, new soldiers; new times, new seasons. . . . In short, that winter was a very hard one: heavy snowfalls, snow-storms, and no roads.
