The fierce family pride of our fathers and the vices of their political system are to be deplored and avoided; let us not make the last of their national kings the scape-goat for all his cotemporaries and all his predecessors.
But what the Poet so much admires in his friend, may certainly be considered as one of the principal ornaments of Eloquence.
