In 1847 Prairieville Circuit was changed to a station, under the name of Waukesha. Brother Wilcox was returned, and during the year built up a strong congregation, giving the station a front rank among the first charges of the Conference. Brother Wilcox entered the traveling connection in the East and came to the Illinois Conference at an early day.
