But why do I talk thus? It is impossible that those that are saved by grace should have their infirmities laid to their charge as afore, "for they are not under the law"; they are included by the grace of God in the death and blood of the Son of God, who ever liveth to make intercession for them at the right hand of God; whose intercession is so prevalent with the Father as to take away the iniquity of our holy things from his sight, and to present us holy, and unreprovable, and unblamable in his sight.

I Thess. iii:13 "To the end he may establish your hearts unblamable in holiness before God our Lord even our Father, at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ with all his saints." Here we perceive, that he was to come "with all his saints and holy angels." By his holy angels, we are to understand his gospel messengers or martyred apostles and by his saints, those who had died in his cause.

So unblamable a character in every respect I have not found either in Europe or America; and I scarce expect to find another such on this side of eternity. Fletcher, on his part, was one of the few parish clergymen who to the end thoroughly appreciated John Wesley.

But he took to task the heads of the people, and the people themselves, class by class; in short, he spared none but virtue and her friends. Granted, if they are scandalous: but if a man composes good ones, and is praised by such a judge as Caesar? If a man barks only at him who deserves his invectives, while he himself is unblamable?

Then the unblamable Seer took heart, and bespake the Assembly: "Neither for forfeited vow is he wroth, nor for hecatomb wanting; But for the sake of his priest, who, dishonour'd by King Agamemnon, Pray'd for his daughter in vain, and the gifts that he brought were rejected; Therefore, the Archer Divine has afflicted, and more will afflict us, Nor shall the weight of his hand be remov'd in the pestilence wasting, Not till the Dark-eyed Maid is restor'd to the love of her father, Free, without ransoming price and a hecatomb holy to Chrysa Sent for atonement of wrong: peradventure we then may appease him."
