If you ask a Hingham boy how the cunners are biting he will be likely to throw rounded beach stones at you, thinking he is being made game of. Down at Newport, R. I., they catch cunners and if you talk salt-water perch to them it is at your peril.
A town adjoining Hingham, Mass. His brother Abraham also resided in Chester County, and died there, April, 1745. N. and H. i. 3. "It's a wretched climate," he asserted, over and over; "and the foundation of all my ill feelings this winter was laid, I'm convinced, in Hingham last summer." No use to urge the contrary; and all Jasper's pleadings were equally vain.
It is five o'clock, and a winter evening, and all the street pours forth to meet me some of them coming with me bound for Hingham, surely, as all of them are bound for a hill somewhere and a home. In 1637 Samuel Lincoln, aged eighteen, came from England to Salem, Massachusetts, and three years later went to Hingham; he also was a weaver, and a brother of Thomas, the weaver.

Stay in town for that. There "you can even walk alone without being bored. No long, uneventful stretches of bleak, wintry landscape, where nothing moves, not even the train of thought.
"There," said Ben, at last, after a good many flourishes, "now 'tis done! you can't think of another thing to do to it, Polly!" "Mamsie, see!" cried Polly, running with it to Mrs. Pepper, "isn't that fine! 'Mr. Jasper E. King, at the Hotel Hingham." "Yes," said Mrs. Pepper, admiringly, to the content of all the children, "I should think it was!"
