And He even chose men who were thus socially ostracized to enter His own inner circle of disciples and to be the standard-bearers of His cause upon earth. He taught that the most abject and socially submerged man upon earth is a son of God, and that at his moral and spiritual renovation there would be joy among the denizens of heaven.

We have the hawkkeepers, and the bowkeepers; the providers of the king's carriages, and his standard-bearers.
