Among those who came to the jousts were Sir Ector and his son, Sir Kay, and the young man Arthur, not yet a knight. And then Sir Launcelot with the three knights of his kin did so great deeds of arms that all the noise began upon Sir Launcelot.
Even the boy himself thought Sir Ector was his father, and he loved Sir Ector's son, Sir Kay, with the love of a brother.
