In the parish is an old manor-house called Cothay, of Tudor date. Knowle St Giles, a small hamlet on a hillside, 2-1/2 m. N.E. of Chard. The church has been rebuilt. Lambrook, East, 2-1/2 m.
The chapel is one of the most interesting chambers, with its original altar still in position, though much damaged, and also piscina, aumbrey, and ciborium.
