Monthly magazines divide themselves into three classes: First, the purely popular, Strand, Ludgate, Pearson's, Windsor, Woman at Home, Lady's Realm, &c. Second, the high-class general, Blackwoods', Pall Mall, Macmillans' Cornhill, Longmans', &c. Third, the reviews, Nineteenth Century, Contemporary, Fortnightly, National, and Westminster.
