Cobbold reports the case of four simultaneous tapeworms; and Aguiel describes the case of a man of twenty-four who expelled a mass weighing a kilogram, 34.5 meters long, consisting of several different worms. Garfinkel mentions a case which has been extensively quoted, of a peasant who voided 238 feet of tapeworms, 12 heads being found.
With a silver pencil she wrote her name and address on the flyleaf of Persuasion, and gave the book to Rachel. Sailors were shouldering the luggage, and people were beginning to congregate. There were Captain Cobbold, Mr. Grice, Willoughby, Helen, and an obscure grateful man in a blue jersey. "Oh, it's time," said Clarissa. "Well, good-bye. I do like you," she murmured as she kissed Rachel.
I don't suppose there's a bottle of wine in the cellar." "They can get wine from Cobbold, mother." "Cobbold's wine won't go down with them I fancy. I wonder what servants they're bringing." When Mr. Masters came in from his office the news was corroborated. Mr. John Morton was certainly coming to Bragton.
In Cobbold Road, to the north of the waste land is St. Saviour's. An iron church was first erected here in 1884, and the present red-brick building was consecrated March 4, 1889. The chancel was only added in 1894. In Becklow Road are a neat row of almshouses with gabled roofs. These are the Waste Land Almshouses.

But the letters appear to be deceitful in this, and the next chapter must deal with a painful phase of the partnership. The hopes for the home fishing of 1869 should have been good.
Beyond the vermin that infest the skin and the hair, tapeworm, and a few other intestinal worms, little if anything was known of morbific parasites before the Nineteenth Century; but the labors of Van Beneden, Küchenmeister, Cobbold, Manson, Laveran, and others have now established the causal relationship between great numbers of animal parasites gross and microscopic and certain definite morbid states.
I entered, accordingly, upon what I thought a very promising course of appalling reading; but, alack and well-a-day! a change has come over me since the good old times, when Fancy, with Fear and Superstition behind her, would creep on tiptoe to catch a shuddering glimpse of Cobbold Fay, or Incubus. Vain were all my efforts to revive the pleasant horrors of earlier years.
