From a charter granted to foreign merchants in 1302, it appears that they came from the following countries to trade in England: Germany, France, Spain, Portugal, Navarre, Lombardy, Tuscany, Provence, Catalonia, Aquitaine, Thoulouse, Quercy, Flanders, and Brabant.
