King John, Act II. Scene 1. King Richard II., Act II. Scene 1. Inquiry into the Nature and Causes of the Wealth of Nations. Edited by J.E. Thorold Rogers. Oxford, 1880, pp. 35-38.

Others, such as Gen. xii. 1-3, Deut. ix. 12-14, Job iv. 16-v. 5, Ps. xxxvii. 35-38, l. 16-23, have only slight variations. There are only two passages of more than three consecutive verses in length that present wide divergences. This is perhaps what we should expect: in longer quotations it would be better worth the writer's while to refer to his cumbrous manuscript.

Then, in contrast with the self-interest and desire for recompense which so often passes among men as charity, vs. 32-34, he pointed to the perfect example of God and intimated that his mercy should incline us to kindly judgments of our fellows, assuring us of the boundless liberality with which our Father will reward our unselfish love. Vs. 35-38.

Second class: "Different kinds of fruit." Gal. vi, 1-10. Third class: "The curse of unfruitfulness." Matt, xxi, 18-20. Fourth class: "Danger of setting the heart upon earthly fruits." Luke xii, 15-21. Fifth class: "Necessity of labor in harvesting." Prov. x, 3-5. Sixth class: "Now, the harvest time." John iv, 35-38. Whole school in unison: Psalm cl, entire.

Fraas, Klima und Pfanzenwelt in der Zeit, pp. 35-38, gives, upon the authority of Link and other botanical writers, a lift of the native habitats of most cereals and of many fruits, or at least of localities where those plants are said to be now found wild; but the data do not appear to rest, in general, upon very trustworthy evidence.

xx. 9-18, 37, 38: the wicked husbandmen; the God of Abraham. xxi. 1-4, 18, 21, 22: the widow's mite; 'a hair of your head; flight of the Church. xxii. 16-18, 28-30, 35-38, 49-51: the fruit of the vine, 'eat at my table, 'buy a sword, the high-priest's servant. xxiv. 47-53: the last commission, the Ascension. Here we have another remarkable phenomenon.
