Perfect love casts out fear, the fear that is slavish and results from sin; but perfect love does not destroy all timidity nor the sense of the need of protecting one's life. A sanctified person has just as good a right to run to a storm-cellar when a cyclone comes as has any one else. One form of fear is timidity. A newly sanctified person may feel somewhat timid in performing some duty.
When the last red shirt was wrung from the water, she began to dip bucketfuls and empty them on the sloping ground at the farther side of the storm-cellar, singing blithely as she hurried back and forth. She was so intent on her carrying that she did not see a horseman who was turning in at the ash lane, his face eagerly lifted to the windows of the farm-house.
We photographed their favourite horses, and the cabin; also helped them with their own camera, and developed some plates in the underground storm-cellar, a perfect dark-room, as it happened. We took advantage of this pleasant camp to make a few alterations about our boats.
Hadn't we better burrow a storm-cellar in the sand? I feel awfully high up in the air." "Poor Lahoma!" "Believe I'll walk with you, Wilfred; I'm turning to a lady-icicle." "Do! I know it would warm you up a little." His teeth showed an inclination to chatter. "Come I'll help you down. Can you find my arm?"
WHEN the tornado had swept on, leaving in its wake a wide path of bare ground fringed with wreckage, the little girl hurried home to assure herself that her mother and the big brothers had gotten into the storm-cellar, and that the blue mare was unhurt, and to gaze into the sitting-room mirror to see if her hair had turned white.
