The House of Lords reversed the decision of the Court of Session in this cause. See ante, ii.50, 230. Ogden was Woodwardian Professor at Cambridge. The sermons were published in 1770. Boswell mentions them so often that in Rowlandson's caricatures of the tour he is commonly represented as having them in his hand or pocket. See ante, iii. 248.
