Selimansha, now judging that his grandson, with the assistance of good counsel, was capable of wearing the crown, resigned the reins of empire into his hands amidst the assembled divan, and caused him to be proclaimed King, under the name of Shaseliman, amidst the acclamations of the kingdom.
Having served together under the reign of Selimansha, they recollected one another, and entered into conversation. "You come from Egypt," said the officer: "did you meet Prince Shaseliman?" In the meantime the detestable Balavan completed the conquest of Persia. All the grandees of the kingdom came to pay him homage.
