A third inscription, which probably had not been perceived in 1793, is seen at the upper corner of the left side: Hoc Lodoice tibi posuit Brezœe sepulchrum, Pictonis amisso mœsta Diana viro. Indivulsa libi quondam et fidissima conjux, Ut fuit in thalamo, sie erit in tumulo .
The country teems with poets, who praise the persons of the belles very much in the style of Canticles, declaring prettily, for example, that their legs are as straight as the "Libi Tree," and that their hips swell out "like boiled rice." The marriage ceremonies, he tells us, are conducted with feasting, music and flogging.
The subjects are frequently pastoral: the lover for instance invites his mistress to walk with him towards the well in Lahelo, the Arcadia of the land; he compares her legs to the tall straight Libi tree, and imprecates the direst curses on her head if she refuse to drink with him the milk of his favourite camel.
