The festival of the Duwallee has taken place since my arrival in Bombay, and though I have seen it celebrated before, and more splendidly in one particular namely, the illuminations I never had the same opportunity of witnessing other circumstances connected with ceremonies performed at the opening of the new year of the Hindus.
