I looked at all the envelopes, and saw that no one of them had been addressed by the little hand which I so much wish I could see here now, turning over the pages of the Vecellio. I pushed the whole bundle of letters away: they had no more interest for me. April-June It was a hotly contested engagement.
The painters thought themselves great folks, and used to make the others wait on them and run errands, serving them as "fags." But the Vecellio boy did not worship at the shrine of the painters who made the designs.
Titian was accompanied to Augsburg by his second cousin, Cesare Vecellio, who no doubt had a minor share in very many of the canvases belonging to the period of residence at Augsburg.
