And almost immediately I must have fallen asleep again. I had not, to my knowledge, been dreaming about Wordsworth before I awoke; but I had been reading Hutton's essay on "Wordsworth's Two Styles" out of Knight's Wordsworthiana, before I fell asleep. I should add that I had a distinct impression of the high collar and stock, the same as in the picture on the stairs in this house.
