Die Batu-Pala haben ihren Namen noch vom Batu Pala, dem kleinen Kalkplateau am Merasè in der Nähe des Batu Situn, von wo die Long-Glat sie zwangen, zum Mahakam herunterzuziehen. Die Kajan dagegen kamen vom Apu Kajan längs dem Boh herab, unter Anführung des Häuptlings Kwing Irang, der nach seinem Tode den Beinamen Singa Melön erhielt.
So zwang z.B. Ledju seinen Bruder Ibau, der sich mit einem Teil des Stammes von ihm geschieden hatte und auf einem Kalkplateau bei der Mündung des Sumwé lebte, sich wieder mit ihm zu vereinigen. Ledju trieb die Untertanen seines Bruders mit ihrer Habe aus dem Hause und verbrannte dieses. Seither wohnten sie gemeinsam in Lirung Ban, einer Ebene am Mahakam, in der Nähe der Merasèmündung.
