Only the shells were wanting, for with the gun were 50 charged "hulzen" and a case of cordite "schokbuizen." We tried to make a shell from an empty "Long Tom" one, by cutting the latter down, for the "Long Toms" shells were of greater calibre, and after having it filled with four pom-pom bullets, some cordite etc., we made it tight with copper wire, and soldered the whole together.
