En tosin vielä ollut tullut tietäneeksi mitkä englantilaiset sanat merkitsevät "tullinalainen" ja "matkalaukku". Mutta kun minä rohkeasti ja ujostelematta sanoin: "Nothing Zollpflichtiges is in the coffers", osoittivat he hymyilyllä ymmärtäneensä mitä tarkoitin. Right! Right! Ensimmäiset kielentaitoni kokeet olivat siis päättyneet onnellisesti, joka tuotti minulle hyvät tulevaisuuden toiveet.
