The Black-Sea, or Euxine, is here called the Great Sea. Soldadia, Soldaia, or Sudak, was a city in the Crimea, a little to the west of Caffa. Forst. Barha or Barcha, more properly Bereke-khan, who reigned from 1256 to 1266. Bolgara is the town of Bolgari, the capital of Bulgaria, which subsisted from 1161 to 1578.

Otherwise Soldadia, Soldadia, or more properly Sugdaja, now Sudak or Suday, by which name it is mentioned in Abulfeda. Forst. Grasui, or Grusui, now unknown, perhaps stood at a place now called Krusi-musen, which seems to preserve some traces of the name. Forst Forst.

This obviously refers to the canal of communication between the sea of Azoph and the Euxine. Called likewise Soldeya, Soldadia and Sogdat, now Sudak. Sartach was the son of Baatu-khan.
