To the Senate of the United States: In addition to the information heretofore communicated, I now transmit to the Senate a report from the Secretary of State, with accompanying papers, in answer to their resolution of the 28th ultimo. WASHINGTON, February 15, 1851.

To the Senate of the United States: In answer to the resolution of the Senate dated the 13th ultimo, requesting further information in regard to the imprisonment of the United States consul and of other American citizens in the castle at Acapulco, I transmit a report from the Secretary of State and the documents by which it is accompanied. Sir, We have great pleasure in making known to you, that upon the demise of Mr Sholto Campbell, of Wexton Hall, Cumberland, which took place on the 19th ultimo, the entailed estates, in default of more direct issue, have fallen to you, as nearest of kin; the presumptive heir having perished at sea, or in the East Indies, and not having been heard of for twenty-five years.

To the Senate of the United States: The resolution of the Senate of the 28th ultimo, requesting me to cause to be laid before the Senate all papers which might be in the Department of War relating to the treaty concluded at the Butte des Morts, on Fox River, between Lewis Cass and Thomas L. McKenney, commissioners on the part of the United States, and the Chippewa, Menomonie, and Winnebago tribes of Indians, having been referred to the Secretary of War, the report of that officer thereon is herewith inclosed.

In the afternoon there were horse-races outside the Trapani gate on a fairly level piece of road, and a concert and illumination in the balio in the evening. In the course of the day I bought a copy of the explanatory pamphlet. Its title was L'Arca Noetica. Simbolo Mariano. Ultimo Lunedi d'Agosto, 1901. It was to be a procession of cars, there were to be no figures on horseback.

To the Senate of the United States: In compliance with a resolution of the Senate of the 50th ultimo, I communicate herewith, in confidence, a report from the Secretary of State, with the documents, containing the information desired by the resolution. By virtue of the authority in me vested, I do hereby offer the above reward of ten thousand dollars, in gold coin of the United States, for the arrest of Bartholomew Graham, familiarly known as "Black Bart." Said Graham is accused of the murder of C. P. Gillson, late of Auburn, county of Placer, on the 14th ultimo.

To the House of Representatives of the United States: I transmit to the House of Representatives a report from the Secretary of State, with documents, containing the information requested by their resolution of the 26th ultimo. WASHINGTON, March 8, 1844.

To the Senate of the United States: In answer to the resolution of the Senate of the 23d ultimo, requesting information in regard to the fisheries on the coasts of the British possessions in North America, I transmit a report from the Acting Secretary of State and the documents by which it was accompanied.
