We believe that a man must be called of God, by prophecy, and by the laying on of hands, by those who are in authority, to preach the gospel and administer in the ordinances thereof. We believe in the same organization that existed in the primitive church, namely, apostles, prophets, pastors, teachers, evangelists, etc.

Do we get nothing by it? God forbid, my friends. We get what the apostles got, and neither more nor less; though not in the same shape as they did. God called them to do a work: God calls us, each of us, to do some work. God gave them the Holy Spirit to make them able to do their work. God gives US the Holy Spirit, to make us able to do OUR work, whatsoever that may be.
