In some texts enjoining devout meditation, and so on, we indeed meet with terms such as Prajapati, Siva, Indra, Akasa, Prana, &c., but that these all refer to the supreme Reality established by the texts concerning Narayana the aim of which texts it is to set forth the highest Reality in its purity , we have already proved under I, 1, 30. In the same way we have proved under Su.

The mind gives up to him all thoughts, so that by the mind he obtains all thoughts. This is the complete absorption in prâna. And what is prâna is pragñâ, or self-consciousness; what is pragñâ, is prâna. For together do these two live in the body, and together do they depart. "Now we shall explain how all things become one in that self-consciousness.

"What lies beyond the surface of the solar globe? Something must; something as much rarer and thinner than the ether as the ether is rarer and thinner than prakriti. Can you not guess? "It is Prana, the life force of the universe. As prakriti is made from ether, so ether is made from prana. It is made in the same way.

He who knows the ear as the informant, becomes possessed of the informant. "Now to that prâna, which is Brahman, all these deities, mind, speech, eye, ear, bring an offering, though he asks not for it, and thus to him who knows this all creatures bring an offering, though he asks not for it.

Of these Pranidhi was the son of Vrihadratha. Vrihadratha was the son of Kasyapa. Bhanu was the godson of Chyavana, Saurabha, the son of Suvarchaka, and Anudatta, the son of Prana.

He approaches the couch Amitaugas. That is Prâna, i.e., speech.

And then the text proceeds to teach the Agnihotra offered to Prana, which is something subsidiary to the meditation taught. The final conclusion then remains that Vaisvanara is none other than the highest Self, the supreme Person. Here terminates the adhikarana of 'Vaisvanara. The abode of heaven, earth, &c. Up.

Some Yogis follow the plan of placing both hands on the affected part, and then breathing rhythmically, holding the mental image that they are fairly pumping prana into the diseased organ and part, stimulating it and driving out diseased conditions, as pumping into a pail of dirty water will drive out the latter and fill the bucket with fresh water.

Cold water stimulates circulation and is a wonderful tonic internally and externally. Warm water is soothing and relaxing in its effect. If you can bathe in the flowing water of a river, so much the better. Swimming is a wonderful bracer, besides being an enjoyment in itself. There is Prana in water and your body extracts this Prana from air, water and food.

The Will does not change its seat, which is always in the center of the Ego, but the Will forces the mind to all parts, and in all directions, and it directs the Prana or vital force likewise. The Will is indeed the general-in-chief, but it does not rush to the various points of action, but sends its messengers and couriers there to carry out its orders.
