Perhaps you have wondered why the names of some of the prophets and heroes of the Old Testament are spelt so differently when mentioned in the New 'Elias' instead of 'Elijah, 'Noe' instead of 'Noah, and so on. This is because the writers of the New Testament quoted from the Greek translation of the Bible instead of from the Hebrew.
