A couple of our most valued departments are the "Old Rec." and the "New Rec." the old and new recreation rooms. The new recreation room, a spacious and well-built "hut," contains three billiard tables, a library, and current newspapers, British and Colonial. This room is the scene of whist-drives, billiard and pool tournaments, and other sociable ongoings.

"Hand him over, then, but you'll have to do the spellin'." "Rec-om-pense, p-e-n-s-e," Morry said, slowly, "I found it in a magazine, there's the greatest lot o' words in magazines! Look up 'rec, Jolly, I mean, please." Dictionaries are terrible books. Jolly had never dreamed there were so many words in the world, pages and pages and pages of 'em!

I ought to be let stay until the end of the term; and as to the Rec the fault book, you told me most particularly when I first came that I might write in it or not just as I pleased, and that you never dictated or interfered with what was written. And yet the very first time I write a word you disapprove of, you expel me. Nobody will ever believe now that the entries are voluntary."

It would be long before he could be well enough to be taken to one of our entertainments. But, had he been given his way, he would have gone direct from his fatiguing overseas journey into the Old Rec. to join the family party and chuckle at Mr. Bones and Massa Jawns'n.... No doubts assailed his mind as to whether it was right to "waste bed-space" on mere frivolities.

Joseph Dudley and John Richards were chosen agents, and provided with instructions bearing the peculiar tinge of ecclesiastical statesmanship. Rec. v. 347. Such a statement cannot be reconciled with the answer made the commissioners; and the laws compelled Episcopalians to attend the Congregational worship, and denied them the right to build churches of their own.

Jolly retraced his steps patiently. "I've dropped it," he announced in time. Morry was breathing hard, too. Looking up words with other people's fore-fingers is pretty tough. "Now, the second story, 'rec' is the first," he explained. "You must find 'rec-om' now, you know." No, Jolly did not know, but he went back to the work undaunted.

Innanna may be separated into In = lord or lady, and nanna; in and nanna would then be elements added to "lady," conveying perhaps the idea of greatness.
