These three inscriptions were found in places so far from one another that they may well refer to three lavationes. See amphitheatrum. The date of the brick work is all much later than the date assigned to it by him, and much later than the name itself implies. This building was just inside the gate which was in the center of the south wall of Praeneste, directly below the ancient forum and basilica. See Amphitheatrum. The points worth noting are: that this aerarium is not built with reference to the temple above, and that it faces out on the public square.
